PARIS—Louis Vuitton has announced that Kim Jones is leaving his post as the brand’s Men’s Artistic Creative Director after 7 years, making his F/W18 collection his last. After joining the brand in 2011, Jones was responsible for giving the French house streetwear cred, focusing on graphic shirts, sneakers, track suits, and culminating it with the colossal collaboration with Supreme last year. In a brief statement, Michael Burke, Chairman & CEO of Louis Vuitton said ”It has been a huge privilege to work with Kim. His ability to set trends is impeccable and his talent and determination have ensured that Louis Vuitton is firmly placed as the leading brand in luxury Menswear today. All of us who have been fortunate to work with Kim wish him continued success in his next venture.” In an Instagram post, Jones said “Thank you @louisvuitton for 7 wonderful years! You really have been the best and I am grateful to @themarcjacobs for giving me the opportunity to be here in the first place. I also want to thank Michael Burke for being so great and believing in me and Delphine Arnault for her support.”
