Hello World

Posted on Feb 01, 2009 by Jay Lara / 392 Views

It’s been long overdue, but Rogue Magazine Online is finally here.  We wanted a website that would exude the same quality and style that grace our magazines.  We were meticulous about the design, methodically ironing out bugs, probing every line of code, ‘img src=’ after every ‘div class=’ after every ‘a href=’, until we collectively accomplished what you see in front of you today.

The site is far from perfect (see the red tag next to the Rogue header on top?), and if you run into any bugs that may have slipped through our unmerciful fingers, or even have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

What’s important right now is that the phenomenal images and articles found in our glossies can now be seen and read on a worldwide scale.  Rogue is now poised to take over the world.

So stop reading this and go read the real stuff.  Here are a few of my favorites:

-A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Woman
-The Letter I Would Love to Read to You In Person
-The Mantas of Raja Ampat
-The French Connection (For sentimental value, our first cover girl.)

Great Stuff guys! I love how made your site so simple and easy to the eyes.

I just noticed that there are few dummy information imprinted in your site like the authro’s profile. I guess you’re still working on it wink

But hell I gotta love the site!

Like the simplicity of the site and also want to see less of the test text and more extras, stuff we don’t get a chance to read about in the magazine.

    GQ has vids:http://men.style.com/video/runway-highlights/default-latest/3171935001/gq-megan-fox/3177919001?url=/video/runway-highlights/default-latest/3171935001/gq-megan-fox/3177919001

    So does Details: http://men.style.com/video/from-details/from-idetailsi/3000769001/details-kanye-west/12099290001.

Shorter interviews like Interview http://www.interviewmagazine.com/blogs/music/2009-03-03/the-antlers-hospice/ - god knows our attention span is short on the net.

and stuff like most emailed, most popular, most commented on - wanna see what other people are into. Again, like the simplicity of site but want it to make me want to probe deeper into it so it’s more dynamic. It’s decent but I want MORE.

The “hello world” title’s a nice touch. I agree with the comment above, maybe a little online-only content would deliver more traffic to the site, like some behind the scenes teasers of the shoots/interviews. The site itself is a classic take on the magazine, which is pretty much definitive of the layout and the content.

    cheers!

    Thanks for dropping by people!

We’re definitely working on the ‘Videos’ section, so you can expect to see ‘behind the scene’ shoots.

There’s still so much we want to do with the site, and we’re constantly looking to improve. We just wanted to release all these amazing articles into the ‘internets’ as soon as possible. They need to be shared.

So please, help us spread the love. If come across a great article, go ahead and click that ‘ADD THIS’ button at the bottom of the article. Email it, facebook it, digg it, etc.

    Thanks for the support!
